What does Karin Herzog say?
'Stimulates Collagen and Elastin in the dermis, the second major layer of the skin. The body stops readily producing collagen and elastin around the age of 28 years. Improves acne Scarring by lowering the top ridge and raising the bottom of ice pick (indent) scars for a smoother appearance. Cleans the follicle loosening the glue-like substance or bond holding dead cells together repeated use keeps it clean. This can be a great help for acne sufferers. Evens out the skin tone in the top layer of the skin by eliminating darker pigment. Improves the texture of the skin by packing the cells back down, similar to fish scales or tiles on a roof. Results are cumulative and you should always use one of our Oxygen products alongside for optimum results. When used with VAK facial oil as well as oxygen the benefits are enhanced greatly for anti-ageing'
How do I use this product?
Karin Herzog advises using this twice a week which is what I've been doing for the past 3 weeks. The product is a gel which you apply all over the face and leave on the skin for 10-30 minutes, I left on my skin at night for 30 minutes (recommended if you're over 30 and have problematic skin). You only need a few drops for the whole face, as soon as you apply to the face, you can feel the gel heating up on your skin with a slight tingly feeling! After the desired time, use a cloth with hot water, then simply wipe the gel from the face.
The Results!
I must admit, I was very cautious using this product as it contains glycolic acid which is a chemical and I've had bad reactions from other products in the past and I tend to avoid anything with chemicals. While the product was on my skin, it surprisingly didn't feel uncomfortable or sting at all and I could feel it working. As soon as I removed the product from skin, it immediately looked clearer, brighter, smoother and felt amazingly soft! My skin looked more even and spot scars less visible, my dry patches had completely disappeared and the redness less visible (I suffer from psoriasis), fine lines were definately less prominent and my skin looked and felt great for days! After using for 3 weeks, I can see an even greater improvement in my skin, especially as I've been using Karin Herzog's Vita-A-Kombi 2 oxygen cream after removing the serum. You really do need to use an oxygen cream in conjuction with this serum for maximum benefits.
Wow, I really love this product and will definately re-purchase! This is exactly the kind of 'quick-fix problem solving' product I've been searching for, it's only a small 30ml bottle but I can see it will last a really long time. In my opinion, this is perfect for more mature skin like mine and also if you suffer from acne scars or uneven skin tone (an issue many of us with asian skin have). Although, it may seem expensive, I believe it is worth spending more for the instant results it has given with no nasty reactions and how long one bottle lasts.
Karin Herzog Glyco Rose Serum costs £40 for 30ml bottle
More info on this product is availble on their website here
The above is just my opinion on this product, if you have very sensitive skin, you may need to test on your skin first as may not be suitable, you should seek professional advice for the best products to use for your skin type, if you contact Karin Herzog, there are always very helpful and informative. Hope this was helpful!

ReplyDeleteThat sounds amazing!! Must buy this once I finish all the other serums ive accumulated! :p
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting, I might have to try this! Thanks for the review sweetie xxx
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this skincare line. I wonder if they have it in Canada? I will check!
ReplyDeleteAwesome review - I've wanted to try a new serum for a while now and I reckon this could be perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy skin has had it's problems in the past and unfortunately is fairly uneven and slightly patchy now so if this works it'll be well worth the £30 :)

Looks like a great product, and I agree, £30 isn't too much for something that does work. I definitely need to step up my anti-aging.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've tagged you in a post! xx
@Marie - i think they it have it in USA, not sure about Canada!
ReplyDelete@TheBristolBeautyBlog - thanks so much for the blog awards! x
The actual price is £40, sorry everyone, I've corrected this!
ReplyDeleteMight be a good product but the company itself has the worst customer service I ever tried. After placing an order online in september 2011, I'm still waiting 2 months after to receive my package ! No one ever answer my emails nor return my phone calls. For me it's a scam girls, so honestly, don't even try !
ReplyDelete@Lili - This post was written in 2010 when they had excellent service. I totally agree the service is now really really poor, my last 4 orders have all taken months to arrive, i have no choice as only product that works on my skin, please give them a call to complain as I've done this this week already, will see what happens!
ReplyDeletei completely agree with lili and stylefrost customer service at karin herzog is appalling and extremely poor. i have always had to wait for two months to receive my order and that's after having made numerous phone calls and several emails. The two people who answer phone calls at KH are Jenny and Mark Parker. i have spoken to them on several occasions regarding the delay with my order...they both give contradictory information...to be blunt they both lie and cover for each other. I wanted to complain to the director(called Julie chickok...not sure of surname spelling)was told by Mark parker at kh to call on tuesday morning...to my disgust when i had called my call was transferred to jenny who pretended to be Julie...these people ought to be ashamed of themselves.
